Celebrating Our Donors
Our donors all have one thing in common. They wanted to give back and make Washington County a better place to live and raise a family.
Each of these stories are unique and we are honored to be the stewards of their legacy. More than likely, there is someone on the list that you know!
Lucille McIntosh Rawlings
Loving, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, strong….. are all words the leap to mind when describing Lucile McIntosh Rawlings. But to put it all in one sentence, she is probably summed up best by her son, Keith: “She was one helluva woman.”
Lucille was born January 10, 1901. She married Theodore Rawlings on June 11, 1921. Lucille and Theodore had three sons:
- Joseph, who was born in 1928 and served in the Navy. Joseph eventually served as a Dean at Ball State University. Joseph had two children, Richard and Susan.
- Edward Dale, who was born in 1931 and retired from the Air Force. He served two tours in Vietnam. Dale remained a bachelor his entire life.
- Howard Keith, who was born in 1935 and served 9.5 years in the Army. Howard had one daughter, Melinda.
