As Aaron Johnson, 2010-2011 Vice President of the Washington
    County Youth Foundation, puts it,
"We can't make a difference overnight, but we can make a difference
over time. If we can get more of our third graders reading at grade level,
then more of the youth in Washington County will grow up
    to 'Live Happily Ever After'".

Did you know?

Many states plan the number of jail cells they will need in the future by the number of children not reading on grade level by grade 3. About three in five of America's prison inmates are illiterate.

Children who have not developed some basic literacy skills by the time they enter school are 3 - 4 times more likely to drop out in later years.

Will you make a difference in one child's life?

For just $25.00 per year (less than 50 cents per week) you can sponsor a child.

You can make a difference.

There are several ways for you to get involved

1. Direct Donation

Donations to the Happily Ever After Fund can be made at any time. You can mail a check (instructions here) or donate online through our Network for Good link below.

2. Sign up for our ACH service

You can authorize us to withdraw a fixed amount of money from your checking or savings account on a monthly basis. This can be cancelled at any time.

Contact Lindsey Wade-Swift at program.officer@wccf.biz for more information.

3. Payroll Deduction

Start a payroll deduction program at your place of employment for the Happily Ever After Project. This is simple to do, and, like ACH, payroll deductions can be cancelled at any time.

Contact Judy Johnson at director@wccf.biz for more information.

4. Will a Donation

Remember the Happily Ever After Project in your Will and you will leave a lasting gift to our youth. A Charitable Bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. You can create a Bequest of any dollar amount, gift specific property or designate a percentage of your estate in your Will or trust plan. If you wish to make a gift of your IRA or 401(k) plan, this can usually be done by filling out a beneficiary designation form provided by your plan administrator.

Thank you for helping the children in our county turn the page to a better future!
