There will be a public meeting for any Washington County non-profit organization wishing to apply for a grant from the Washington County Community Foundation.  The meeting will be held on July 29, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the Washington County Community Learning Center.  This is a mandatory meeting for any group intending to apply for a grant.  Judy Johnson, Executive Director of the Foundation, commented, “This is wonderful opportunity for any group wishing to apply for a grant.  We will discuss our grant criteria, guidelines, application process, deadlines and reporting process.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions.  Our goal is that by the end of the meeting, all potential applicants will have a strong understanding of the process.”

In addition, the Foundation will also offer a small grant from the Charlotte Martin Memorial Fund.  This fund supports the transportation of cancer patients for treatment.  Any non-profit organization wishing to apply for this grant should attend this meeting or contact the Foundation office for more information.
