Representatives for the Washington County Youth Foundation attended the second annual Philanthropy Summer Jam at Franklin College. While at the conference, Heather Kidd, Emily Johnson and Cassie Pruitt attended classes on Teambuilding, Families in Philanthropy, Asset Development, Leadership, and Presenting in Public. “I think the conference was really good,” stated Cassie Pruitt, President of the Washington County Youth Foundation. “I’m looking forward to putting some of these ideas into action this year.”
The Washington County Youth Foundation was established in 2001 and is comprised of area high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. The group endeavors to facilitate philanthropy among their peers by coordinating several activities throughout the school year, as well as offering a fall grant cycle.
