There will be a public meeting for any non-profit organization wishing to apply for a grant from The Women’s Giving Circle of the Washington County Community Foundation. The meeting will be held on August 10th, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Community Learning Center. This will be held in conjunction with the Fall Grant Cycle public meeting. The Foundation will discuss their grant criteria, (opportunities that will provide more independence for women and expanding horizons for girls, including but not limited to: education, training, vocational skills, counseling, mentoring, and life skills or programs that address the immediate needs of women and children). They will also discuss guidelines, application process, deadlines and reporting process. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. The goal is that by the end of the meeting, all potential applicants will have a strong understanding of the process. All grant applicants are strongly encouraged to attend this session and bring project or program ideas. Grant applications for the grant cycle will be available at the public meeting and the WCCF office. Applications are also available on the Foundation’s website www.wccf.biz as well.
